Mental Health Services In Arkansas
East Arkansas Family Health Center, Inc. has an embedded behavioral health team in the primary care practice. The behavioral health team provides consultation, assessment, and intervention to address a number of issues ranging from traditional mental health (e.g., depression and anxiety) to health psychology issues (self-management of diabetes, terminal illness, obesity, chronic pain, healthy diet, etc.).
Health psychology is the study of psychological and behavioral processes in health, illness, and health care. It is concerned with understanding how psychological, behavioral, and cultural factors contribute to physical health and illness.
